About This Show

Twelve Actors. Eight Plays. Four Weeks. One Author.

In an off-off-Broadway event of unprecedented scale, Twenty Feet Productions presents Wars of the Roses: Richard II, Henry IV Parts I & II, Henry V, Henry VI Parts I, II & III, & Richard III by William Shakespeare. Marc Silberschatz directs.

These plays deal individually and collectively with a world in which selfishness, greed, corruption and personal gain have replaced honor, duty, fidelity and selflessness and how every character deals with this change. Whether it is Richard II discovering his own humanity, Henry VI torn between the values of the Machiavells in court and those of his uncles, Gloucester and Exeter, or Richard III committing murder upon murder to get the crown. Some of these characters want to heal the broken world in which they live, some want to take advantage for their own selfish gain. The decisions they make determine not only whether they live or die, but affect the fate of the entire world.
