Warriors Don’t Cry, by Eisa Davis (a 2006 Pulitzer Prize finalist) is a powerful and engaging adaptation of the memoir of the same name by Melba Beals, one of the “Little Rock Nine” who marched through segregationist picket lines in 1957, with the help of President Eisenhower’s troops, to attend Central High School, marking the beginning of American integration. Eisa Davis will perform this solo play in a special afternoon presentation scheduled to make the piece available to as many students as possible.
