Voices from the Edge

New Perspectives Theater Company is pleased to announce the latest production of Voices from the Edge, which will introduce three new works-in-progress by NPT resident playwrights. This year’s festival features the best works from up-and-coming African-American artists.

Finding Home explores how we can find our place in the world when home is the last resort for refuge. It looks at three generations of women who must confront their individual anguish and learn to redefine the meaning of family.

Fever shares some insight into the author’s personal journey thus far through spoken word and poetry. Audiences will walk away with some interesting, and often unexpected, perspectives on the world we each live in.

Birthright tells the story of two sets of siblings struggling to escape the demons of their childhood. As they fight towards their future, they discover the healing, yet destructive power of love.
