Vicky Shick and Dancers: Glimpse

Choreographer Vicky Shick was co-commissioned by Danspace Project and Trafo House of Contemporary Arts to work with renowned dancers in both New York and Budapest. Built in two cities on two continents, Glimpse reflects the way it was constructed: a collage of events amidst a constant effort to remember and capture a mood, a texture, a fiction. Subtly different movement cultures, styles and body attitudes gently bump against and highlight each other in the performers’ efforts to simply dance together. They co-exist inside a multitude of narratives, which lie within the gently disordered universe created on stage.

At Danspace Project, Shick and several guest dancers, including Eva Karczag, will join Budapest-based dancers, Tamas Bakoand Hedvig Fekete and US-based dancers, Christine Elmo and Diane Madden in performance.
