Vicious Dogs on Premesis

Being tortured in love is a dog’s life. Ask Witness Relocation, the company whom Performing Arts Journal dubbed “a dance-theater anarchist’s utopia.” Yet cruelty and torture are often the product of conditioning and weird choices, if you look at it from a scientist’s point of view. There are lessons to be learned by people looking at dogs, and also by looking at people from the dog’s point of view. That’s why Artistic Director Dan Safer uses the metaphor of trained dogs and concepts of Choice Theory to investigate people’s weird shifts between cruelty and love in his newest play/physical theater piece, “Vicious Dogs on Premesis.”
