About This Show

Richard Kent Green and Nelson Lugo, in association with WorkShop Theater Company, proudly announce that, after three years of giving NYC a perfectly adult excuse to act like a 7-year-old, Vaudeville Nouveau: an Extravaganza of Burlesque Proportions will be rolling up its iconic banner for the foreseeable future.

The three GRAND CLOSING WEEKEND shows will be completely different. Thursday’s thrilling line-up: burlesque artists Miss Mary Cyn, Misty Lux and Nasty Canasta, Adam ("The First Real Man") Rinn and magician Albert Cadabra. Friday’s fabulous show features burlesque artists Dangrrr Doll, Fifi Dupree and Lily Stitches, magician and mind reader Patrick Terry and Albert Cadabra – with special guest Annie Lebeaux, singing her signature vaudeville ditties. Saturday’s stupendous roster stars burlesque artists Boo Bess, Cherrie Canary, Runaround Sue and Victoria Privates, "rappist" Schäffer the Darklord and comic Bastard Keith.

Vaudeville Nouveau opened on August 10th, 2007 as a collaboration between producer/director/actor/song-writer/musician Richard Kent Green (www.RichardKentGreen.com), whose original ukulele songs appear in every show, and producer/actor/illusionist/sideshow artist Nelson Lugo ("The Charming Trickster" – www.NelsonLugo.com).

For three years, VAUDEVILLE NOUVEAU has been a monthly variety show featuring a rotating cast of musicians, jugglers, freaks, illusionists, ecdysiasts, escapists, sideshow artists, comedians, ventriloquists and a whole lot more, co-hosted by Mssrs Green and Lugo.
