Tock Tick

12-year-old Chelsea Tickerman’s mother has cancer. As the clock in the front hall steadily marks each passing moment, she can see the dragon of her mother’s death hovering. In a bold move, Chelsea embarks on a fantastical quest to slay this dragon and save her mother. Along the way, encounters with scientists, seagulls, interstellar gondoliers, and finally the locksmith at the center of the universe, bring her to a new understanding of life, death, and the nature of time. With its innovative voice, Tock Tick is a whimsical and touching tale of a child coming to terms with the loss of a parent.
