About This Show

Toast Triple Play is a festival of plays written by its founding members. Different aspects of TOAST’s mission is to explore and challenge social, political, religious and aesthetic concepts – accepted by some as truth – are embodied in these three works:

Dysteria, a comedic critique of our media-obsessed culture, takes its audience on a journey through a not-too-distant in the future world of television greats. It boasts a cast of 14 actors playing over 40 characters; fifty scenes in live action and digital video; and one of the largest ever gun battles staged in off-off Broadway history – all in 95 minutes!

Family Idol is a four-character drama with a shocking conclusion. The play critically views the potential (and dangers) of religion as a mode to solve severe family problems.

Home takes a bittersweet look at two young Texans trying to restart a relationship and their conflicting views about the moral dilemma surrounding abortion.
