The Tragic Destiny of Etiennette Duchamps

Carine Montbertrand performs the English language version of The Tragic Destiny of Etiennette Duchamps in the style of European clowning. Previously performed in French at the Theatre de Nesle in Paris, the one-woman tragi-comedy is the story of Etiennette Duchamps, the octagenarian wife of a mason, who reveals the tragic secret of her love, her life, and her obsessive passion. Ron Bashford directs the production, which is part of the New York International Fringe Festival.
