Kundalini Komedy, the seven year veterans of the New York City comedy scene, are breaking new ground yet again and are doing what comedic improvisers and other performing artists have failed to do for over half a century: Listen to their audience! Based entirely on public opinion, Kundalini Komedy presents The Thursday Report-Live at 7:30, which will be the group’s first weekly show ever.
The Thursday Report is a current events based improvisation initially following the structure of a local television newscast. Late-breaking news, sports, weather and human-interest stories are presented with a comic yet insightful twist. After the news team signs off, Kundalini Komedy then takes the audience on a free-form adventure into this mad world freshly created, successfully blurring the line between reality and fiction, and giving the audience what it craves: an escape from reality into reality.
