In these days when language we might find absurd is the basis for the reality of an unending war, The End of the Word invites you to an evening of really absurd and absurdly real plays that showcase the folly of language and its capacity to ensnarl us in self-destruction.
Director Simone Federman’s vision takes the audience into a world where the banality of Ionesco’s platitudes in The Bald Soprano reveal themselves as the realistic mirror of our own lives, and where the force of Strindberg’s barrage of language in The Stronger asks us to examine the power of silence.
Performances begin: May 10, 2024
