About the Show

The Matisse Plays is a showcase of the Milk Can Theatre’s Artistic Associates’ work in ten-minute form. Each playwright has randomly chosen a Henri Matisse painting out of a milk can and written a ten-minute play inspired by that piece of art.
Playwrights and work include: Painting It Matisse by Sharon E. Cooper and directed by Bobbi Masters; The Painted Lady by Cheryl Davis, directed by Kimberly VerSteeg; Good Samaritans In Late Afternoon written and directed by ML Kinney; Do We Really Have To Sleep Togehter Till Death Do Us Part by Bethany Larsen, directed by Tom Nondorf; Prelude To A Resignation, music by Nick Moore with book and lyrics by Sidney Shannon, directed by Russell Kaplan; La Lecon de Musique by Anne Phelan, directed by Lauren Reinhard
