About This Show

Because Love Ain’t All Hearts and Chocolates.

A multi-media dance documentary performance exploring the human challenges that create art and break hearts. Let the dancers, singers and musicians coupled with footage from the troupe’s beginning take you on a three year journey of life and love as a hopefull New York artist desperate to stop working with a tray in her hand and figure out the meaning of success. It is a story of coming of age issues, such as religion, sexuality, intimacy, and self worth told through witty and provacative choreography and music.

“…it was The Love Show that really turned on the crowd. Rhonda Gdasi’s rousing rendition of Tom Petty’s Honey Bee was pitch perfect for her partners’ lascivious motions.” — Ortgeist.com, on the New York Burlesque Festival
