The Laramie Project

Gallery Players presents The Laramie Project, by Moisés Kaufman and the Members of Tectonic Theater Project.

On October 6, 1998, 21-year-old college student Mathew Shepard was murdered in Laramie, Wyoming. This horrific hate crime is the basis for the script based on a collection of more than 200 interviews of citizens of Laramie conducted by the Tectonic Theater Project of New York. The Laramie Project is the Our Town of our time.
