After a successful run at the New York International Fringe Festival, The Beggars Group returns with The Expatriates, re-shaped into an entirely new incarnation. Zelda Fitzgerald finds herself in a dark spiral of chaos when she writes the novel that says what everyone else is afraid to say. The play is both a dark portrait of the decadent existence led by Americans during the “Jazz Age,” and a theatrical event capturing the intensity and fearless devotion to invention that their inner circle immortalized. Elizabeth Maher directs.
There is an additional matinee on Sunday October 22 at 3pm.
