About This Show

Lit Live Productions and PenneySeal Productions present the world premiere of the play The End of You, by Michael D. Cohen.

The play tells the story of a couple struggling toward greater intimacy, blocked by unresolved experiences of violence and loss. Haunted by childhood events, Joel repeatedly tells Kamala of a tragic event he witnessed in summer camp, which, to this day, he strives to understand. As he tells his story to Kamala, Joel realizes that she too has an unresolved incident in her past, and it has created a powerful fear of the very intimacy that might redeem her. Sarah Gurfield directs.
