Susan Rethorst: Retro(intro)spective 208 East Broadway Part 4: SOLD

SOLD is an installation-style performance. Audience members are welcome to come and go as they wish.

208 East Broadway Part 4: SOLD is a performance and installation that uses the peripheral spaces of St. Mark’s Church, with Susan’s furniture scattered to create several vignettes/tableaux. Involving aspects of the life of the Church as well as of Susan’s travel of the last years, each piece begins with a nugget of image or idea found on the road.

Each viewer will be allowed to choose at random a three or four minute selection of sound to accompany each scene, or to forgo it altogether.
