Women at Wings presents the world premiere of STRANGE LIGHT, a funny and poignant drama about relationships, family and loss. This new work by award-winning playwright Cindy Cooper, speaks to the complexities of life in New York, being in a long-term Lesbian relationship and dealing with a parent’s mental and physical decline. Bayley, a Lesbian lawyer in New York whose mother suffers from Alzheimer’s, sees her history disappearing and becomes frantic about knowing the past in order to build the future. Embarking on a search for illusive pieces of her family’s past, she clings to the remnants of her mother’s memory, seeking to understand how Lesbians are shaped by the role models of a different generation of women.
