About This Show

78th Street Theatre Lab presents Trish Harnetiaux’s new play Straight On ‘Til Morning, a satirical and thought-provoking take on JM Barrie’s Peter Pan set in a present-day Neverland: Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Directed by Jude Domski, this play transforms the pirates and the lost boys into the artists, slackers, hipsters, poseurs and blue-collar locals of contemporary Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It’s 2004 – Peter has changed – and so has Neverland. In this centennial year of Barrie’s classic tale, Peter is cast as a hip, indie-rock recruiter who refuses to grow up. The ever-restless Peter rebels against the gentrification and changing landscape of his once working-class Brooklyn neighborhood, now proliferated with skyrocketing real estate costs, trendy bars, galleries and upscale restaurants.

There are additional 8pm performances on Monday September 20th, Sunday September 26th, Monday September 27th and Tuesday September 28th.
