Staunch

The Peoples Improv Theatre has been home to writer/performer Jessica Allen’s latest show, Staunch since November 2004. The show is a documentary about the woman in every office who is whispered and wondered about. She is a woman full of passion, secrets, and DISCO! The show is inspired by the real documentary ‘Grey Gardens’ and the one and only Edie Beale. Come and see, up close, real close, the life of Catherine the woman who by day answers your phones but by night she dances and rages against the injustices of the world.

Jessica has been performing improv, sketch and her last one-woman show, American Standard, all over New York City. She is part of the improv group Neutrino who were chosen to be perform at HBO’s US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado in 2004.
