Stairway to Paradise

The Encores! season concludes with Stairway to Paradise, starring Kristin Chenoweth, Kevin Chamberlin, Christopher Fitzgerald and Ruthie Henshall. The cast also includes Jenn Gambatese, Michael Gruber, Shonn Wiley, J. Mark McVey, Holly Cruikshank, Kendrick Jones and Capathia Jenkins.

This first-ever specially created Encores! production is a celebration of the very best material from a half century of Broadway revues, and includes numbers and sketches from Florenz Ziegfeld’s shows and other legendary musicals and revues of the era.

New York City Center Encores! has, since 1994, celebrated the rarely-heard works of America’s most important composers and lyricists. Conceived as “concert versions,” each Encores! season gives three scores the chance to be heard as originally intended by their creators.
