About This Show

Songs From Coconut Hill is an annual New Works/Latino Voices Playwrights Festival, serving as a forum for the works of up and coming writers. This year’s highlights include a staged reading of Obie award-winning playwright José Rivera’s most recent work Adoration Of The Old Woman and the premiere of Daily News writer Robert Domìnguez’s new play The Outside Man. This year’s festival features The Women of Nine by Angie Cruz, Cyn Cañel Rossi & Karen Torres, starring Eva LaRue (“All My Children”) and spoken-word artist Caridad de la Luz aka LaBruja (Boogie Rican Blvd.), Ley of the Land by Fernando Mañon, All Sides by Michael J. Narvaez, starring Jamie Tirelli, To The Baggage Claim by Tanya Saracho, Chained Dog by Robert Santana, Transplantations by Janis Astòr del Valle and Fuego by Juan Shamsul Alam.
