The Interart Development Series presents Small Bodies, by Elizabeth Scales Rheinfrank. Set in an isolated, religious community in the Appalachian Mountains, the play follows the story of a fiddle player named Adele. Unable to conceive, she makes a deal with the moon, promising to fiddle for her in exchange for a baby girl, an act of moon worship strictly forbidden by the elders. In the neighboring village, a young woman is murdered. The next female born into Adele?s village is sentenced to death in retribution for the crime, and an old wives? tale is put to the test. Ariel Nazarian directs.
