About This Show

This is a multi-media production with a five piece rock band, singing miscreant puppets, video projected backgrounds and elaborate sets. Sleepless Fishes tells the story of a young clown who is rescued from a carnival slave ship by pirates and becomes the darling of their outlaw captain. But as the boy grows older and begins to rebel against this cutthroat lifestyle, the captain is torn between his love of debauchery and the responsibilities of parenthood. It is not long before the boy meets Glenn, a film producer and mollusk, whose bohemian lifestyle offers an attractive alternative to the savage ways of men. But can he adapt to life underwater, and fulfill the demands of Glenn’s “experimental romance” film project?
