Sleeping Beauty or Coma

A kooky young girl named Enid Wetwhistle is discovered by the megalomaniacal fashion designer, Sebastian Lore, to be his top model. She escapes his clutches and befriends a wacky young fairy godmother of a struggling designer named Fauna and her photographer boyfriend, Ian. The three become the rage of the new mod era. Sebastian Lore exacts his revenge by slipping Enid some bad LSD, plunging her into a twenty-year coma. The first act of the double bill Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, Charles Busch’s 1985 Off-Broadway cult hit, Sleeping Beauty or Coma is the classic fairy tale retold in 1960s swinging mod London.
