Slavery

Payne’s Theatre Co.’s Slavery, written and directed by Jonathan Payne, is based on the 1930s interviews of aging former slaves by the Federal Writers Project. The production is a combination of oral and musical traditions creating a rich palette of powerful, emotional and gracefully uplifting reflections of our collective history.
