In Skin Around the Earth, the wounded hero Philoctetes, marooned on Lemnos Island ten years, confronts the Greeks who return to retrieve him for the Trojan War they can?t win without him. Schemers Odysseus and Neoptolemus clash with the hero and his ten year reserve of pride, defiance, and chocolate icecream delivered to him by mysterious island birds. Philoctetes, caught between the need to feed his ever-hungry wound and to exact vengeance from his guests, welcomes us to his island hotel and leads us into the vortex of an abandoned human?s terrible pride. The show is written and directed by Filip Marinovich.
