Stephen Nisbet stars in a solo performance rendition of Sick with Lust: Fire Island Tales by Andrew Holleran, from the best-selling author of Dancer from the Dance and The Beauty of Men. Staged in collaboration with Holleran, the production is comprised of two sexy, provocative tales which describe and envision the sun-drenched dunes and erotic realm of Fire Island, then and now.
In the first tale, an excerpt from Dancer from the Dance, a flamboyant, sharp-witted queen from the 1970s gay circuit scene takes a beautiful young man under his wing. In the second tale, set in the mid-1990s and titled In September, the Light Changes, a middle-aged gay man reflects on the pursuit of sex, the allures of youth, the perils of male beauty, and the nature of gay desire at the end of a Fire Island beach season.
The evening is conceived and directed by Randy Gener.
There is a $10 food/drink minimum.
