About the Show

Romeo and Juliet uses Shakespeare’s original language, but gives it a setting that resonates with audiences in the time and place we find ourselves today. Three years after a nuclear attack, the town of Verona is getting back on feet. Among the many people lost in the devastation, was the local Friar. Stepping into the spiritual breech to help the citizens through this difficult is an Imam, a Muslim priest. Sadly, the only thing that survived unscathed was the hatred between the houses of Montague and Capulet.
