About This Show

Red Bull Theater announces the Bullseye Bash featuring three bands: singer-songwriter Angela Ai, New York’s cabaret beatniks Spottiswoode & McMahon, and girl-fronted rock group Quasilulu – a world class musical party to benefit Red Bull Theater’s next production season with drinks, dancing & more.

Angela Ai ( www.angelaai.com) has been compared to Tori Amos, and lauded by Performing Songwriter for her visceral vocal power. Fans of Pericles will remember Angela’s awesome sound as the Goddess Diana. If she can save a Shakespearean hero, think what she can do for you.

Quasilulu ( www.quasilulu.com) makes sounds, statements and grooves that fall somewhere between No Doubt, Alanis Morissette and White Stripes – a live band that finesses intricate rhythms with simple, deep pocket patterns, rangy vocals with subtle whisperings. As a bonus, an electric violinist plays her fiddle like a Fender Strat. Led by Broadway regular Rona Figueroa (Nine) and a Juilliard-trained ensemble, this is a band that can rock hard and then deliver a sweet and simple pop tune that will melt your heart.

Spottiswoode (www.spottiswoode.com) is one of NYC’s hippest hipsters – recently back from a tour of France, he’s unpacking lots of new songs with his baggage. Groove to his latest, and be the first to hear fresh outtakes from Spottiswoode’s collaboration with playwright Anton Dudley (Slag Heap) on Red Bull Theater’s new musical adaptation of Don Juan: Don Jonny. It’s hot.

This is a great opportunity to meet members of Red Bull Theater’s acting company, artistic director Jesse Berger, and hear some great live music. The evening’s antics start at 8pm and continue till 1am. Come anytime!
