Pulling the Lever

Pulling the Lever, an original play created by The Rising Circle Theater Collective, is based on real interviews from a unique cross-section of Americans about this pivotal time in our country’s history and its effect on their personal lives. During this election, our national discourse has been dominated by TV’s talking heads, the media and the candidates. But in the end, it’s conversations with our co-workers, our neighbors, and our loved ones that truly engage and affect us deeply. Pulling The Lever captures those voices that are not heard–everyday people in America spanning race, class, religion, age, gender and politics–to create a bold, humorous, surprising and truthful theatrical piece that draws the curtain to reveal how a diverse group of Americans really feels about pulling that lever in the voting booth on November 2nd.
