Puerto Rico, I Will Always Love You

Repertorio Espanol presents a staged reading of Puerto Rico, I Will Always Love You, the 2002 Third Place Winner in the Nuestras Voces (Our Voices) Playwriting Competition. Nancy Nevarez’s play addresses the Puerto Rican Day Parade 2000 – the day that women were sexually assaulted in Central Park. Machismos, national pride and doing the right thing explode on stage as three generations of men confront their attitudes.
