In Mike Batistick’s new comic drama Pervez Bhutto, a NYC taxi driver, is afraid to return to his Jersey City apartment after the arrest of his brother, a Daily News vendor at Port Authority Bus Terminal. In the ten days that follow, he discovers that you can live in a Crown Victoria taxi if you just put your mind to it, that love can come from Akron, Ohio and that, sometimes, fake hope is all you’ve got.
