What would happen if a severely short-staffed theatre company (with Royal Shakespeare Company pretensions) decided to mount Dickens’ “lost” epic PENNY PENNIWORTH, A STORY OF GREAT GOOD FORTUNE? The answer is a labyrinthine romp through Victorian England. Four actors must portray a cavalcade of comic characters in this gender-bending tale of wealth, deception, abduction, and unusual body parts. The play is written by Chris Weikel and directed by Mark Finley.
