About This Show

The illusion of an African American family’s altruistic adoption of a five-year-old Vietnamese girl is shattered when a stranger from the child’s past contacts them. With the shocking truth revealed, the family and child, now 17, must find a way to live with that truth or be torn apart. Orphans, written by by Joel Shatzky, is set in the 1980’s.
