About This Show

Orangerie combines beat poetry, characterizations and storytelling. She’s sexy, she’s intelligent, she will move you to tears, and she will slay you
with a few good laughs. Sprouted by flower children in rich Iowa top
soil, displaced to a conservative Baptist culture during adolescence,
and roughed up in New York City for the last decade, Echeverría has just
begun to make her mark in independent film and theatre, winning the
“Best Actress in a Short” category at the Buenos Aires Film Festival and
taking Sundance by storm as the leading actress in Dean Kapsalis’ film
“Jigsaw Venus. ” From finding fulfillment as an artist stuck in a
demeaning corporate setting to looking for Mr. Right through an adult
phone service, in Orangerie, Echeverría’s stories, poems and
characterizations are at once a reflection of everyday life and a
journey into the surreal. Don’t miss this one-night-only event.
