Rinne Groff and Michael Sexton – the respective writer and director of Jimmy Carter Was a Democrat – return to P.S. 122 armed with a hatful of cheap tricks, hurt feelings, and beguiling questions about sex, theatre, ghosts and the Two of Clubs. Illusion and self-deception are rife; a rogue magician seduces with sleight of hand. The intrigue mounts as the secret to the infamous “chick-on-a-stick” trick is sought and a scantily clad showgirl-cum-apparition weighs in with an answer for everything.
There is an added performance Sunday 7/30 at 9pm.
