My Husband is a Spaceman relays a charming folk-tale in the style of the “Kamishibai Ya” of Japan (traveling paper storyteller), modernized with projected video graphics and original haunting ballads. Japanese comedienne/performance artist Kazuko Hohki makes her American debut, accompanied by a lone violinist, along with surrealist puppetry, projections, cartoons, origami, and real time video.
