Murray Spalding Mandalas: Mandala XIII

Murray Spalding’s Mandalas, as directed by former Mandalas dancer, Leslie Roybal, present a joint vision and memorial to the late Spalding. Together the organizations will create a breathtaking dance film celebrating the intricate genius of Murray Spalding’s Mandalas. The geometry of XIII emerges from a swirling chorus of seven dancers; they glide with meditative ease and stunning rapidity. Informed equally by modern dance and Eastern philosophies, Spalding’s Manadalas joins the ancient tradition of group rituals.
