Michel Groisman – Sirva-se (Serve Yourself)

About This Show

As part of his first US tour, Brazilian artist Michel Groisman brings 4 singular pieces to Brooklyn. He attempts to answer the questions below by devising wearable apparatus, and sculpting his body to test the endurance of, and possibilities within, the solitary human form and socialization of groups.

Would it be possible for someone to serve you some water but instead of bringing the glass on a tray, bring glasses attached to their own body? How would that person pour you the water? If many people had glasses attached to their bodies, how would they pass the water from one to another without interrupting the flow?

Free, online reservations required. It is not necessary to arrive by the start time, participants may enter and exit for 2 hours after the start time. The activity is continuous and ongoing.

The Wednesday afternoon performance is recommended for families with children. The Sunday afternoon is recommended for all!
