Mansaku-No-Kai Kyogen Company is led by living National Treasure Mansaku Nomura. Kyogen (“crazy words”) is one of Japan’s four forms of classical theater, the other three being Noh, Kabuki, and Bunraku. Although Kyogen and Noh developed into their present forms together during the 14th and 15th centuries, Kyogen is comic theater, while Noh is much more serious and musical in nature.
