About This Show

A semi-improvised dance and music performance inspired by the myth of the love cervere (a medieval mythological creature similar to the panther and known for the sweet smell emanating from its mouth, which attracted all animals save the dragon), Love Cervere combines voice, images, music, and movement to transform The Chocolate Factory’s tomb-like basement space into a world once real and now forgotten.

Love Cervere features installation by Sophia Warsh and performance by Jessica Ray. Elizabeth Ward directs and choreographs. The Saturday 9/30 performance is followed by improvised music performances in The Chocolate Factory’s upstairs space by artists including JP Jenkins, Ed Chang and Motoko Shimizu.

Appropriate for all ages.
