Tea and Sympathy
–Written by Robert Anderson

“Years from now–when you talk about this–and you will– be kind.” Laura is expected to give the students at an all boys school only “Tea and Sympathy,” but gives much more to Tom Lee, a boy harassed for his effeminate behavior and supposed homosexuality. Opening on Broadway in 1953, it enjoyed a successful run and was made into a film with its original stars Deborah Kerr and John Kerr.
