By turns shattering, desperately funny, uplifting and provocative, the play follows the ghost of a murdered seven-year-old girl as she returns to the community where she lived in hopes of discovering her killer. Peering into the lives of her friends and neighbors, she discovers the various secrets hidden within their middle class lives. By delving into a variety of contemporary social issues–the struggle of low-income families, the plight of the disabled and the difficulty of coming to terms with homosexuality–the play mirrors the daily challenges we face in our own neighborhoods, while ultimately inspiring the redemptive power of hope and forgiveness in our lives.
