About This Show

Badlands Theater Company presents Like a Springsteen Song, a new play by Scott Brooks. The show is an unconventional love story set in New York and
influenced heavily by the songs of Bruce Springsteen. Two childhood friends, one an artist whose wife died one year ago (George) and the other a former artist who has given it up in favor of a comfortable marriage (Sara), meet by coincidence on a street corner as they both try to hail a taxi in
the rain. They grew up together in North Rockfield, Massachusetts, and haven?t seen each other since college; both are now thirty and feel they are at a turning point in their lives. Cat Proper directs.

Like a Springsteen Song is presented with Is This the Line?, a series of four short vignettes about standing in line. The authors are Jaime Andrews, Mark Ransom, Lisa Stock and Scott Brooks; Mr. Brooks directs.

Running Time for both shows: 2 hours.
