About the Show

Rhode Island theatre soloist Ken Carnes presents Last Words, a powerful monodrama that captures actual last word testimony from America’s executed, creating a seamless story of one man revealing the hearts and minds of the many condemned. The audience, cast as jury, debates one man’s sentence as the performance rhetorically asks the critical question: “Should he live?” and challenges us to question ethics, justice and deterrence of one character that represents the many condemned.

Part of the New York International Fringe Festival.
