About This Show

Lake Ivan Performance Group hosts a trio of experimental performance works, described as “unpredictable, unique, visionary theater.”

Lake Ivan Performance Group
A dense, improvised counterpoint of text, images, and music. Director/performer David Finkelstein works with Agnes deGarron and James Martin to take the audience on a journey into some of the weirder regions of their inner worlds.

Today I am Feeling a Little Less Cynical
Manoiseca (a.k.a. Fernando Maneca) performs a viscerally charged look into the parallel lives of a business man and a homeless man. The piece combines text, music, movement, and video projections in a unique blend of realism, abstraction, and satire.

Kitsch Agonistes
Kelly M. Cresap asks “If God is all-powerful, then why is there kitsch?” It’s a question for the ages, surely. Then he plays a flirtatious Christmas Elf who needs the audience to paddle him back in line.
