Japanese Contemporary Dance Showcase

Japan’s most exciting new dancers and choreographers come together in five cutting-edge works at Japan Society’s annual Japanese Contemporary Dance Showcase, now celebrating its seventh season. Co-curated and co-produced by Japan Society and AN Creative, Inc., Tokyo, this year’s showcase features large ensembles Idevian Crew, Performing Arts Unit “Project Fukurow”, Toru Shimazaki & Dancers and soloists Mika Kurosawa and Un Yamada. Coinciding with this spectacular event is the Association of Performing Arts Presenters annual conference that draws distinguished presenters from around the country.
