In Intellectuals, mayhem ensues when a psychologist takes a “sabbatical” from her marriage to pursue her untapped feminine potential as a lesbian. Her spurned philosopher husband is left to concoct his own version of a romance with a much older woman in an effort to stoke his wife’s jealousy. Their best friend, a romantically challenged gay film critic with a propensity for destroying his own relationships, is then entangled in their web of deceit. When cooler heads prevail, husband and wife confront the bigger question: Is their marriage worth saving?
In addition to the regular schedule, Intellectuals is presented in previews Friday, September 8 through Sunday, September 10 at 8:00 PM. The opening night performance on Monday, September 11 is also scheduled for 8:00 PM.
