If the Saints Arrive in Germany

In sixteenth century, the nuns of the Convent of St. Cecilia are preparing for the performance of a choral mass. At the same moment, a group of Lutheran bandits in town are coming to destroy their home. The resulting catastrophe provokes an intimate and comic investigation of personal faith.

The Healthy Oyster Collective was founded by Eric Marlin, Sarah Lusche, and Molly O’Keefe with the goal of creating socially conscious, innovative, ensemble-based work in New York City. If the Saints Arrive in Germany is their first full production, and it will be performed as a site-specific piece in the sanctuary of Metro Baptist Church in Hell’s Kitchen.
